From Queensland come finds of the sauropods Austrosaurus, Wintonotitan, Diamantinasaurus and the Hughenden giant sauropod (probably a brachiosaurid).

Closed forests habitats were common in the temperate climate, and this may account for the small size of the dinosaurs found there. Minmi was named after a location in Australia and was about 10 feet long.  This is small for an ankylesaurid and Minmi doesn't seem to belong to either the nodosaur or ankylosaur families. It and the iguanodontid Muttaburrasaurus are two of the best-known Australian dinosaurs coming from relatively complete skeletons.

Austrosaurus had elongated bones below its wrist, and long forearms. The tail bones were relatively simple. Originally it was considered a cetiosaurid, even though the arm bones are more robust than either cetiosaurids or brachiosaurids.

Quantasaurus magister MilitumQantassaurus is a small Australian hypsilophodontid with teeth similar to
Atlascopcosaurus but with a very fore-shortened jaw and only 12 lower teeth instead of the 14+ of most
hypsilophodontids. It is named after the Australian national airline.
