Carnegie Safari
Forest Rogers, in 2009 sculpted a stunning figureswith vetting from Museum staff at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburg. Tylosaurus, from the Late Cretaceous interior seas of North Americavvis a relative of the modern monitor lizard but reaching 50 feet in length. Tylosaurus was the top predator in what has been described as the mostly deadly seas ever. It was featured in National Geographic, Sea Monster: A Prehistoric Adventure. The figure joins the Carnegie Kronosaurus and Elasmosaurus along with a wide range of squid and sharks from the Aquarium line. It is a very large figure, and already widely acknowledge for it accuracy produced with the highest product quality I have seen to date in a Safari Ltd product. The vinyl has a resin quality from the layers of varnish.
