Linde Dinosaurs
from the Dinosaur Collector
update 0090306
Linde produced a series of dinosaurs in Austria originally as giv-aways with a coffe substituee in the 50's. Made of a waxy green plastic that looks similar to Marx figures, only smaller. Very collectable; the Rhamphorhynchus being highly sought after.

The Linde figures were premiums for herbal tea that was used asa coffee substitute in WW2 that remained popular after the war in Austria. The figures were made of a waxy marbled plastic that ranged from green to red and a rare blue. The medium seems similar to one used by Sinclair or Timpo. The company also made cowboys and Indians. The dinosaurs were recast when Jurassic Park was released. Rhamphorhynchus is the rarest and most sought after figure.
Above are all 8 figures in the common marbled green.
