Friedrich Schleich founded the company in 1935 in Germany. The now famous Schleich figurines first came to life in the 60ies. At that time it concentrated on the development, production and marketing of comic figurines. The company was purchased by HG investments in December 2006. The Schleich Philosophy devotes a special responsibility towards parents and children with the goal of be continuing to be a developer and supplier of top quality products with an educational aspect.

In 2012 Schliech released a new line.
DinoBoyz Taliesin and Sam play testing Schleich figures. They are made for young hands.

The twins Taliesin and Sam play test all our dinosaurs and they like Schleich.
The Replica Saurus the Museum series was created in close cooperation with the Natural History Museum of the Humboldt-University Berlin.
Recently released is the Play World Dinosaurs series.

In 2004 2 new figures have been added the
Velociraptor and
Dilophosaurus.
neither has a counter part in the Replica Saurus Museum line. The original release
was done in the style of the first series Replica Saurus with different
coloring and minor changes in the stance of the body.

Woolly Mammoth, Sloth, Smilodon, Machruchania, Cave Bear and Glyptodon and baby Mammoth.
The Schleich company also produces a line of 40 Minis figures that includes some Dinosaurs and Prehistoric animals.
These can still be found in bins mixed with farm animals and modern animals in Toys Stores. Above is Dimetrodon, Ankylosaurus, Plateosaurus Tyrannosaurus, Plesiosaurus, Centrosaurus, Diatrima, Cave Bear, Wooly Mammoth, Wooly Rhinoceros and Giant Ant Eater.
In the past the Schleich company produced minor dinosaur lines no longer available. This set of rubber figures was discontinued in the 80's.

There are 10 figures in this set the Urvogel (diatryma) and Panzersaurier (long necked turtle) are not shown.
Starting on the left Tyrannosaurus (Konigsaurier), Ankylosaurus, Mammoth, Stegosaurus, Plesiosaurus, Apatosaurus, Scuttelosaurus (Kammasaurrier) and Triceratops.
